About Fern

Growing up, I was constantly immersed in creative activities - drawing, designing, and daydreaming about what I could create next. While in the midst of all that, technology started to become a big part of my life as well, and my interest in the constantly evolving digital world continued to grow.

At first, I thought I had to be an artist and express myself through design, but I was wrong because art is open to interpretation. However, I, later on, found that design is communicating a clear message. It's problem-solving. If the design has to be explained, it didn’t serve its purpose. That’s how I start to use my creativity to solve problems.

As a designer, I value people’s needs and desires, because they are the source of the vitality of communities. I am enamored by typography and visual aesthetics, as both of them are indispensable for creating fulfilling and inspiring feelings. I care about equity and accessibility since design should be open to anyone regardless of their background, ethnicity, race, and class. These serve as fuel to consistently instill play and thoughtfulness in my practice — crafting heartfelt narratives that foster compassion and emotive artifacts that enrich people's everyday lives.

I am still learning, growing, and soaking knowledge; most importantly, I try to make progress towards a better UI/UX designer every day. I hope my skills can blow some breeze in tackling problems with creative ideas. Ideally, these solutions will ultimately facilitate communication and foster mutual understanding among individuals who come from different cultures and value systems.
